The first Margalla Enclave ballot was held on 24 February 2025, a later ballot ceremony followed in November 2025, and winners must pay their down payment within 30 days of the ballot.

Margalla Enclave plots are not sold first come, first served. They go through a computerised ballot run by CDA and DHA. What happens after the ballot matters just as much as the draw itself, because the deadlines are strict.

The first ballot covered plots of 125, 250 and 500 square yards. The CDA chairman and DHA's acting administrator attended, ProPakistani reported. The CDA chairman said the scheme marked the start of long-term cooperation between the two bodies.

A later ceremony at the Jinnah Convention Centre covered the same three plot sizes, The News reported in November 2025. Commercial plots were sold by digital auction at the same event.

How do you check Margalla Enclave ballot results?

The official project site names three channels. Results are emailed to successful applicants. They are posted on the DHA Islamabad-Rawalpindi website. A hard copy is couriered to the postal address on the application.

Trust only these channels. A screenshot or a message from a third party is not proof that you or a seller won.

What happens after you win the ballot?

  1. Confirm the result

Check the email, the DHA website listing and the couriered letter all match your application.

  2. Pay the down payment within 30 days

Pay 15% for a 1, 2 or 3 year plan, or 100% for lump sum. If you miss the deadline, the booking is cancelled automatically.

  3. Receive your intimation letter

DHA issues it after the down payment, charges and taxes are deposited.

  4. Keep up the instalments

Two missed instalments in a row can lead to cancellation after a notice.

  5. Get the allotment letter

It is issued only after the full price and all dues are paid.

Who could apply, and what did it cost to apply?

Applicants needed a CNIC. Each form covered one booking only, but the official site set no limit on how many applications one person could submit. The processing fee was non-refundable and could not be adjusted against other charges.

Because one person could submit many forms, the number of applications does not equal the number of buyers. Keep that in mind when you read headline application figures.

Is another Margalla Enclave ballot coming?

We found no official announcement of a new public ballot as of 3 November 2026. A second phase is planned. The federal cabinet cleared CDA's joint-venture route for it in August 2025, and Dawn reported that it covers 8,300 kanals. Any new ballot should be announced by CDA or DHA directly. Be wary of anyone selling forms or guaranteed allocations for a ballot that has not been announced.

What should you check before buying a balloted file?

  • The seller's name appears on DHA's published ballot result.
  • The down payment was paid within 30 days, and the intimation letter exists.
  • All instalments to date are paid, with receipts that match DHA's statement.
  • DHA confirms the current transfer procedure and charges.
